Residents of East Maitland will benefit from improved traffic conditions following a significant upgrade of Raymond Terrace Road which includes the construction of a signalised intersection enabling easy access to the new residential community, Harvest at Chisholm.
AVID Property Group, developer of Harvest, invited the Mayor of Maitland City Council, Mr Peter Blackmore to officially open the new signalised intersection.
AVID Property Group commissioned the construction of the intersection and upgrade of a 700m stretch of Raymond Terrace Road parallel to Harvest. The upgrade has created a four lane road with a right hand turning bay into Harvest Boulevard.
A bus bay has also been constructed on the southern side of Raymond Terrace Road.
AVID Property Group will invest more than $23 million in infrastructure, parks and open space throughout the development of Harvest.
“This upgrade to Raymond Terrace Road provides tangible benefits for the entire East Maitland community, not just the future residents of Harvest,” said Nathan Huon, Project Director NSW, AVID Property Group.

There has been much activity on the Harvest site since its sod turning 12 months ago. Construction of land lots in Stage One is complete and the design of Stage Two is underway. Landscaping around the two creek line corridors and the planting of established trees at the entrance and along Harvest Boulevard create an attractive vista.
“With only a few lots left to sell in Stage One, the Harvest Sales Team will soon be taking registrations of interest for land in Stage Two,” said Mr Huon.
A limited number of land lots are available in Harvest Gardens (Stage 1) priced from $223,000. House and land packages are also available from Harvest’s display builders Clarendon Homes, Eden Brae Homes, Hudson Homes, Masterton Homes, McDonald Jones Homes, Mojo Homes, Simonds Homes and Vision Homes.
Harvest is situated ten kilometres from Maitland and 28 kilometres from Newcastle with a regular rail service to both towns from nearby Metford station. The Pacific Highway, New England Highway and Hunter Expressway will connect Harvest to key destinations.
